A long time coming

Please bare with me while I catch up on everything... In July Gavin had his 6 month check up and he was 18lbs and 27inches tall which is 60% and 80% Who knows where he gets his height from?? We also had a blast in San Diego with my family, unfortunately Carson couldn't come because of a work meeting so it was just Gavin and me. Which was fun but tiring! He enjoyed the beach well actually let me rephrase that, he REALLY enjoyed it. The second I sat him down he put a fist full of sand in his mouth! Needles to say we didn't spend much time there. He just loved rooming with Tif and Sam.

g" boborder=0>Jaxon recently learned how to ride his bike. After lots of persistence, on mine and Carson part, and lots of hard work from Jax. He finally got it. He's so excited and we're so proud of him. He's been so brave lately even with swimming and it's so great! He goes to kindergarten and Meadowbrook in Bountiful and is very advanced for his age. He even gets special homework!

Gavin's 4 month update

This post is a little late, sorry but we had Gavin's 4 month Dr. appointment on May 22nd (he's almost 5 months now). He had shots (no fun) and we found out that he's in the 60% for weight (15.8 lbs) and 75% for height (25.5"). I guess it's good that he's taller than he is wide haha! Everything else is great with him. He only cries when he's hungry or when he gets shots. But who doesn't, right? His head is a little bit flat so even though he HATES tummy time we have to do it more often. He's starting to sit up really well especially when he's in his Bumbo. He's becoming more and more alert as the days pass. It's so neat to literally watch someone grow and mature. We just love him so much and we're so lucky to have such sweet boys!

Jaxon's Graduation

Well Jaxon had his last day of preschool at Hannah Holbrook yesterday. All of the kids sang songs and got their diplomas. Jax was so adorable! I think he knew the actions and words better than any of the other kids. I think we've found his calling... acting! He's not intimidated by crowds of people. In fact I think he likes being infront of people. So, Jonas brothers, watch out! Jaxon's comin to take your job away.

Easter Weekend Fun

We had a very fun crazy weekend between all the easter egg hunts at parks, our house, Nana and Papa Henderson's and Grandma and Grandpa Lord's. Jax has SO much candy I just may have to save some for next year! This year we did Tie Dye eggs, not as easy but they did turn out lookin pretty cool. The easter bunny brought Jax and Gavin lots of fun stuff but wouldn't you know that even though Jax got some awesome toys like a slip-n-slide and an "n&m" watch (that's how he says it) His favorite thing is a Spiderman poster. He really does enjoy the simple things. Gavin was very good through all of our running around and he met his Aunt Bec and Uncle Justin for the first time!

Gavin's blessing

We decided to have a small blessing for Gavin at my parents house on Sunday the 8th. As some of you may know I tend to be a bit forgetful and in combination of the excitment for the special day it seemed to be much worse... I forgot Gavin's blessing outfit!! Carson sped home and saved the day. (remember: I forgot our marriage licence too) We really appreciate all of our friends and family that came to share our very special day with us. We love you all!

I was looking through old pictures today and found this. They are so cute!

So Cute!

I wanted to have pictures taken of Gavin so that we could send out an announcment to friends and family. We took him to Little Angels and they did a great job! Unfortunately I didn't order enough to be sent out to everyone so if you did not recieve one I apologize! These pictures were taken when he was two weeks old and we just love his facial expresion in the bottom right picture. He is so adorable and he's already changed so much.

Through Jaxon's eyes

I once heard that the world is best seen through the eyes of a child so... I decided to give Jaxon a little project so he wasn't spending so much time on the love sac watching tv. I asked him to go around the house and take pictures of some of his favorite things. With his Christmas present in toe (his camera) he went crazy! These are just a few I've selected you can tell he really likes Gus Gus and I thought it was very sweet that Gavin was included. There will be more "Jaxon Posts" to come with different subjects. Enjoy!

Tub time

He was not too happy about having his first bath as you can see but we decided to conquer the task together! We worked fast and we only got sprayed once and he pretty much passed out after we were done. He's so precious even when he's screaming.

Introducing... Gavin Jay Hinds

Gavin Jay Hinds was born Monday January 19th at 7:33am He weighed 7lbs 3oz 20.5 inches. I was origionaly scheduled to be induced Monday at 6:30am but Gavin had a different agenda. My water broke Sunday night at 11:30. We went to the hospital at 3 am after my contractions were getting closer together and stronger and he arrived at 7:33 am. We couldn't be happier and we are so blessed to have such a perfect baby!
